Script: Configuring your Skype for Business Reserve Proxy URL the easiest way with Web Application Proxy

Hello Readers,

Welcome to New-WebApplicationProxy v1.1 in this version I have included some new functionality to allow this script to be a bit more flexible for most Skype for Business deployments with Web Application Proxies as the Reserve Proxy.

The main menu for this script has now changed to the following to include support for installing/configuring the Web Application Proxy Role and Custom URLs instead of using Meet, Dialin etc..

1) Install Web Application Proxy Role –>
2) Configure Skype for Business URLs (Lyncdiscover, Meet, etc) –>
3) Configure Skype for Business URLs (Custom, Lync, SfB, etc) –>

Installation of Windows Features and configuration

Step 1: Install Windows Feature Web-Application-Proxy include Management Tools
Step 2: Specify your certificate thumbprint
Step 3: Specify your Federation Service Name i.e adfs.lyncme.co.uk
Step 4: Specify your Admin Credentials for ADFS Server
Step 5: Install/Configure Web Applications Proxy

Configure standard Skype for Business URLs

In this section we will configure the Skype for Business URLs for
Meet, Dialin, Lyncdiscover, Webext and Web App/Office Online Server

Please Note: FQDN are not required unless specified

Step 1: Specify your Public Certificate Thumbprint (Get-Command)
Step 2: Specify your Internal Active Directory Domain FQDN
Step 3: Specify your External facing Domain FQDN
Step 4: Specify your Internal Skype for Business Web Services URL or Skype for Business Pool Name i.e webint or fe01
Step 5: Specify your External Skype for Business Web Services URL name i.e webext
Step 6: Specify your Internal Office Web Apps/Office Online Server Name or Pool Name i.e wac
Step 7: Specify your Internal Office Web Apps/Office Online Server Name or Pool Name i.e wac
Repeat: Do you have anymore domains you would like to include?

Configure custom Skype for Business URLs

In this section we will configure the Skype for Business URLs for
Meet, Dialin, Lyncdiscover, Webext and Web App/Office Online Server
